A Darwin’s Fox is an omnivorous mammal who lives in Chile and on Chiloé Island in South America. Scientifically, they are not true foxes, instead more closely related to wolves. Named for their discoverer, famed naturalist Charles Darwin, they are found in temperate rainforest areas and prefer open spaces.
They have an endangered species status and could use your help! There are a handful of organizations out there that collect donations to support the preservation and hopefully the eventual population increase of these wonderful creatures!
